Blau Horse, along with La Sorpressa in Oils, is one of my more simple paintings featured within my series Classical.exe has Stopped Working. It's vivid colours and realistic application, result in a sort of optical illusion in which the viewer is presented with a three-dimensional object on a 2D plane. However, I paint my sculptures on the edge of realism, refusing to push them to the hyper-realistic plane so that it is clear that the sculpture has been painted when the viewer clearly analyses it.
